In going through my late husbands estate, I have run across an old violin still in its case. The case is made of wood, and inside the violin it has Joseph Guarnerius focit Cremonae anno with a cross and the initials SHI (or IHS). The date inside the violin is 1710. Can anyone please help me on obtaining an appraisal of this fine work of art?
