: : Dear All, : : : : I was searching the internet to try and find out about an Italian artist by the name of Luciano Guarnieri when I read your postings which included a reference to him. I have posted this message to all of the senders. : : : : My father has an old original painting of his which he bought for £173 Sterling back in 1967 - a small fortune in those days - and I was trying to find out more about him. The oil painting's enormous,39.5" by 27.75" and entitled 'Four Oranges and a Bronze Jug' painted 12.6.1964 bought at the Auctioneers Stacey Marks in England. It's beautiful. : : : : I couldn't find any more information about him from the London Auctioneers, save that another of his oil canvasses sold in Paris a decade ago for $500 American. : : : : I have put links at the bottom of this page with what an internet search yielded- do you know any more? Not least, my father needs to insure it properly as it's still insured for the original price!
