Hi Adam,
I too have the same violin we know it has been in our family for over 100 years. Have you recieved any feedback on the authenticity and value for your violin. Any help would be aprreciated!

Thank you,

DeDe

I have a Violin that has been passed down in my family for many years and would like to validate it's authenticity and value. The Label within says"Joseph Guarnerius fecit Cremona anno 1736 IHS"

: also on the back of the neck where the pegs go is etched "conservatory Violin Guarnerius"

: any information would prove helpful.

: Also it has been stored in a case for a very long time but the strings and glue on the fingerboard are in disrepair, do I attempt to have it restored to working condition or how do I keep it from continuing to deteriorate?

: Thankyou
: Sincerely,
: Adam Davis
