.....I purchased a Josef Klotz made in 1795. It has stamped on the inside of the violin. It also had a sticker inside that stated it was repaired in 1926 and the name of the person repairing it in Moses, PA. It has an awesome sound and as only a 2 year veteran in playing, and not knowing what to pick, I picked it solely on the sound I experienced while playing. I did not see any markings till I got home. I paid at the time $800.00 for it. I also found a website to checkout....
