I have a portfolio of six lithographs signed in pencil by Luciano Guarnieri, subject Tuscany /Toscana. The introduction is by Harold Acton, no less, and the colophon is very elaborate and grand. So Guarnieri had important friends and patrons in the art world. My portfolio is numbered in Roman and Arabic numerals ( it is a while since I looked at it) and retailed at $1250 in the early 1970s (if I am remembering rightly).
I bought my set at auction in the 1980s and I seem to remember it had been a diplomatic or corporate gift to the previious owner.
But that is all I know.
