I did come across a little more info on Luciano Guarnieri - but are you sure it is Luciano? I have a painting of Three Apples and a Copper Vase with a Stacy-Marks framer's label but it is signed simply "Guarnieri" (no first name or initial).
My painting is very similar to this one: http://www.guarnieri.com/fguarn.htm But that is labelled as F. Guarnieri. Apart from the rather pompous description on the label, I have no idea who F. Guarnieri is.
Does your own painting bear an initial or the first name?
It looks like there are two Guarnieris.
